heart is not always a pure heart, but a pure heart is always a good heart. So our heart must be pure if we are to enter and worship in the presence of the Father. So, what does that mean? A pure heart! Well if we analyze it in the natural it will always bring us back to behavior, being good enough, nice enough, back to good intentions. We will never be good enough or behave enough for God to accept us into His presence. His presence requires much more than our works. Don’t misunderstand, God is not trying to keep us out. His desire for us is much more than we know. The word states that we were created in His image. Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: So now that we know we must have a pure heart, exactly what does that mean? How can we achieve a pure heart? The word pure means: “Free from contamination, guiltless.” In order to achieve purity we must understand something about righteousness. Remember, we are wanting God to accept our worship. We do not worship to get into the presence of God, God allows us into His presence so that we can worship Him. Hbr 10:19 ¶ Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Hbr 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Hbr 10:21 And [having] an high priest over the house of God;
Hbr 10:22 Let us draw near with

a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Since the fall of man in the Garden, God has gone to great measure to make His presence available without compromise to uncleanness. So how do we enter today into purity so that we may enter the Holiest of Holies? By the blood of Jesus! The blood is the only way to enter the presence of the Father. Our hearts are purified by the blood. Our righteousness comes from faith and acceptance in His blood. By accepting the blood of Jesus we become blameless, we become pure, we become righteous, and we become acceptable. I realize that this may sound elementary , but it is very vital information that we must understand and practice in order for our worship to be received and accepted. God has not been trying to get us into His presence to clean us up, He has already made away for us to be clean through the blood of Jesus. Acceptance is not something that is achieved but comes through the act of receiving. Decide that you will not be held out through uncleanness any longer. Don’t be held out through un-forgiveness, sin, bitterness or pride. Accept the blood. Claim it daily as your righteousness. Faith in the blood of Jesus will make you as righteous as you are ever going to be. There are no other acts of kindness or good works that will achieve the pureness and righteousness that the blood of Jesus offers.
