Too Many of Gods children are settling for information only. Information is a great necessity but is not the final destination for Gods children. When you and I only receive the teaching of God and fail to instill the truth of the teaching we become hearers only and not doers of the word. This in fact deceives us by our own negligence. Jam 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Have you ever asked yourself, “What do I do now with this teaching?” Well most either forget the teaching or arrive at this place of development. Well allow me to answer this question for you. 1. Make the information you receive plain in your mind first. Decide what it is that God has been speaking to you. Until you have decided what is being taught or spoken to you there is no step two. Allow me say that you do not have to know or understand all of the teaching God is instilling in you before acting. By this I mean the complete understanding of the truth. The word of God continues to grow within us through out our Christian walk. Hbr 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Notice God is rewarding the seeker! However the seeker must know what it is they are seeking. If God is developing intimacy you should acknowledge this an seek it. If He is developing the confession, reading, attendance, devotion, etc... You should know and pursue after it in God. There are three main areas of development. “Information, revelation, and confrontation”. Within these three areas you will find the illumination for your Christian walk. Pro 4:18 But the path of the just [is] as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. Psa 119:105 NUN. Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. After you have received the information and have come to a decision of what God has taught or attempting to teach you apply the next step. 2. Prepare for revelation. You may be thinking, “doesn’t revelation just happen to us?” I wish sometimes that were true, however it is our stumbling through that causes periodic revelations. Revelation is a realm of intimacy with the Holy Spirit. In other words we must set time apart to visit and pursue the Holy Spirits presence to receive revelations that God is imparting to us. The things of God are revealed not understood through simple reading and listening.
