There have been many teachings on authority and yet much of the body of Christ is still reserved and holding back from their true rights as Gods children. Perhaps they are still uncertain about this being the true will of God for us here on earth? I have also entertained the idea that they are still confused as to how to apply the authority that everyone is declaring they have. Well one thing is for certain, and that is we need to get it straitened out NOW! I realize that man has been trying to set himself up as the all powerful for sometime. This may be because God has placed within them this truth of being his greatest creation and somehow they just keep getting the flesh and ego thing wrong. Never the less it is Gods will for the body of Christ to use God given authority upon this earth. Jesus stated that we were to complete his work upon this earth. I am sure he realized that we would need the delegated authority to do so which is why he has given it. Luk 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. We can see here that authority was delegated to the disciples to have ability over devils and sickness. So we know that Jesus understood our need of impartation from him to achieve the task. With this in mind I believe that we should embrace the impartation with the same expectation as the disciples had and begin acting upon it. Let’s attempt to settle some of the questionable places of man where authority issues are concerned to eliminate the hesitation of authority teaching. Seeing we are already on the question of man being given the right to use authority from God lets continue on with it. Let’s look at Ephesians for additional information in this area. I would like to show you four scriptures that will help paint a picture of Gods view concerning this area of authority. Eph 1:3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ: Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places], Eph 2:6 And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus: Eph 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places] might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God
