As we are entering a New Year of God there are all types of expectations throughout the body of Christ. I would like to ask you if you are going to have ANOTHER year of God or a NEW YEAR of God! Many of Gods children are going to simply accept another year of God and perhaps even repeat the year they have previously experienced. Have you ever considered what the word new means? Well, according to the Dictionary the word new means to “Discover or to experience the unfamiliar. God is desiring that you and I enter a year of the unfamiliar and undiscovered blessings of God. I have been hearing from the Holy Ghost that God is desiring for us to “stretch out and expand his Glory and anointing in this upcoming year!” This implies that God is desiring for us to expand his presence in our lives. Where Gods glory is his anointing is and where his anointing is his glory is! This is because these are attributes of His presence. There is another meaning to the word new in the dictionary that states: “That which has not existed” God is speaking out to us the body of Christ for this year and stating plainly, that he desires for us to experience his presence. In a way that has not existed with us personally before. To discover and experience the unfamiliar presence of God. There is no doubt that we could search out God for eternity and not exhaust the new and unfamiliar presence of God. So how do we enter this NEW YEAR with God? Well, it starts with desire. You and I must desire to know God in ways that have not previously existed in our relationship with him. We must desire the unfamiliar walk with God. The enemy we face hopes that you and I will simply accept the familiar lifestyle of not enough or just enough. There will be many Christians this year that simply accept defeat and insufficiency as a way of life. The second step is to fan the flame of that desire. Romans 12 (msg) 10 Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle. 11 Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame ... Hbr 1:7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. Learn to fan the flame of your desire through the confession of Gods word. The word of Gods desire must be in your heart, mind, attitude, but most of all your mouth! It is the spoken word of God that will produce an overcoming strength for victory and receiving.
