Let’s continue with the scriptures: John 6:20 “but he called out to them (Jesus will always let you know He is coming to you) and told them not to be afraid”. Once you recognize Jesus as Savior, deliverer, your fear will leave. They didn’t recognize Jesus because of the situation they found themselves in . Jesus is always, there, waiting, ready to help us, but we must recognize Him. Jesus said in John 10:27a “my sheep know my voice”. Is Jesus your shepherd? Do you know His voice? Once Jesus called out to the disciples they recognized His voice and John 6:21a, “then they were willing to let him in”. In where? In their boat, in on their plans. We must be willing to let Jesus in our boat, in on our plans. Don’t take off in any direction without Jesus. John 6:21b, “and immediately the boat was where they were going”. Immediately upon the appearance and the acceptance of Jesus, you will be where you were originally headed for and suppose to be. One thing I personally received out of this particular passage of scripture is that, it doesn’t matter where you have been, or where you are going, it’s the process that counts. Look at the above scripture again. It didn’t matter that the disciples had been with Jesus, or that they planned to wait for Him, or where they were going, the process was, the disciples left without Jesus, got caught in the dark, miles from shore and in a storm, ultimately being scared. Don’t get caught out of the sight of Jesus. Keep Him in your sight and in your plans. The next time you have plans, stop and make sure you have included Jesus in on your plans, let Him in your boat and you will find yourself – immediately where you were headed.
