Authority is a force that protects your faith as it develops! There are many great aspects to using authority and I believe that we must understand what authority is for and how we can benefit from exercising its force. We determined in our last article the absolute that we were given authority. In this article I would like to enhance our understanding of its application and use. There are many people that never recognize the aspect of authority's ability to protect the development of their faith. They are many times standing and believing, even releasing great endurance to stand and continue believing. We some how believe that we are to simply endure as our unseen enemy brings attack after attack against our dreams and life. Well, I have good news! God expects us to use authority over him and stop the works of destruction. Psa 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Psa 103:21 Bless ye the LORD, all [ye] his hosts; [ye] ministers of his, that do his pleasure. Psa 103:22 Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul. We are to exercise the authority of God over the enemy's attempts of destruction. Our faith is a developing work that must be protected until established. You may be saying, “I thought we were using faith to as our main force of endurance.” Well faith has many aspects of use. Our faith in a developing work is different from our faith in God to exercise authority. Faith in its early stages of vision and goals is vulnerable to Satan. It is still gaining the firmness and stability of the vision. Much like a young child who still needs overseeing until matured. Authority from the supervising strength is exercised for protection and development of the vulnerable. The authority of Gods word is recognized throughout the created order. Heaven, earth, and everything under the earth recognizes Gods authority. This does not mean demons desire to obey but, they do recognize the right of enforcement when exercised through faith in God. Authority is the exercise of our righteousness. Those in right standing with God hold a great position of authority to be exercised against opposing forces. AUTHOR'ITY, n Web. 1828 Dict. 1.
